Book Review: Young and Beardless by John Luke Robertson

We started watching Duck Dynasty a few months ago. They say “stupid,” “idiot,” and “crap” pretty much constantly so it’s not totally great to watch around a three-year-old who repeats everything he hears but in general we like it.
The shenanigans are fun but their faith is a great thing to see.
When one of their books, Young & Beardless by John Luke Robertson, popped up in the list of books Book Look for Bloggers would send me, I was quite curious and jumped at the chance to read it.

I think this book was a decent read for quite a lot of people but was most specifically geared towards teenage boys.
I was impressed and inspired several times throughout the book and am now following John Luke on Instagram (@young_and_beardless), and I’m interested in checking out some of the other family members’ books now too.
I liked what he had to say about doing things for other people, liked his thoughts on marriage thusfar, and loved that he shared a few other inspiring books in each chapter. I have several new books on my list now.
Favorite quote: “God never expects perfection; He just expects you to try.”

Are you a fan of the Robertson family? If so, have you read this book or any of their others?

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers <http://booklookbloggers.com> book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
