We
are avid readers at our house and are always happy to read a story about Jesus
to our kids.
We
have and love Goodnight Ark so I was excited to share Goodnight Manger with my
monkeys. I thought it was very cute but my kids were kind of neutral about it.
I am guessing they’ll be more excited for it once Christmas hits, but I guess
we’ll find out!
(Me)
"Did you like the book?"
(3-year-old)
"Yes! The book's good. I like Baby Jesus. BUT. I didn't like that sound
you made."
(Me)
"What sound?"
(3-year-old)
"The silly one."
(Me)
"The donkey sound?"
(3-year-old)
"I don't know, Mom. The awful sound."

(me)
"What did you like better, the story or the pictures?"
(3-year-old)
"The pictures. And I think that goat is a bad guy."
(Me)
“Did YOU like the book?”
(1-year-old)
“Uh, yeah.”
(Me)
“What did you like about it?”
(1-year-old) [points
to donkey on cover] “Heh-haaaaaa!”

Thanks so much for your comments! I always read them, don't always have time to answer quickly. Sorry about that!
